Being a new parent, I have found it tough to get out in the mountains now that I have the little one; however, I have come to the great realization that they are great for mountaineering conditioning (i.e. loaded carrier, water, snacks, diapers, etc!) not to mention you get to share your passion for the outdoors with yout child! The plan is to go up either the Grouse Grind or BCMC (the group can vote on their preference in the morning). As my daughter is about 13 months and I am just coming out of hiberation/1st year of fatherhood I think we will hold a pretty relaxed pace. The preference is to have infants or toddlers that don't mind being in a carrier.

Required Items to Bring:
Your portable infant or toddler in some form of carrier; water
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
snacks; kid essentials; some cash/credit card if you want to use the gondola to go back down the hill

I hold an infant first aid certification and will bring a first aid kit as a precautionary measure.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
