Itinerary:
Winter Trip Building Party & Orientation Session for Event Coordinators The workshop will consist of a free dinner & refreshments, and a series of brief presentations by a number of club volunteers highlighting parctices & procedures for setting up trips & then assist members in selecting & posting trips to the winter Event Calendar Areas to be covered will include:- (1) Gathering information about your event (guide books iCal, road, weather, and trail) presenter to be announced. (2) Posting your Event on iCal (tricks, traps & making it easy) -Kayla Stevenson (3) Screening Candidates (fitness, experience, skills, gear, vehicles, area) presenter to be announced. (4) Managing your Event (leadership, group management, scenarios, post trip) - Dave Henwood (5) Suggested Event/Trip options - Cam Miller -a list of attractive day & overnight objectives for hiking, scrambling, climbing mountaineering The idea is To make the process of organizing, managing and putting Events onto our iCal system, easier, to provide an opportunity to meet other Event Coordinators & make it easy to take into account which other Events are being planned as well as to promote high standards and consistent practices among Event Coordinators.

Required Items to Bring:
A willingness to coordinate an event for the Winter Activities calendar, and an appetite Pizza & refreshments are on us but you gotta register to & coordinate a trip to eat.

An appetite for new trips, a thirst for adventure, ideas & suggestions for events you’d like to see on the calendar

Notes:
Free dinner & refreshments for those who register and provide a trip (in following 12 weeks) for Club Events Calendar.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
