PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED. Please review the event details carefully, and if registration is required and you'd like to join us, you must sign up at the bottom of this page. Non-member guests must contact the leader (see Notes below) to register. If payment is required for this event, you will be expected to send your payment to the Event Leader - payable to the Alpine Club of Canada, Vancouver Section.

Attendee Screening: Registration is First-Come/First-Serve

Itinerary:
5 pm. Meet at MEC (Broadway store) pick up gear & brief orientation. 6 pm. Depart for Mt Seymour, meet in Cafeteria, review outline & plan for the evening 7pm - 9pm. Conduct gear familiarization & practice; team safety, signal search, victim location (probe practice), victim extraction (shovel techniques), evacuation. 9:30 head for home. This is not a substitute for existing courses; members are encouraged to enhance their skills to levels appropriate to the risks they intend to undertake.

Required Items to Bring:
Required equipment includes Digital Transceiver; Probe & Shovel. If you do not have this equipment we can get a 50% group rental discount @ will meet @ MEC Broadway store to pick up gear and carpool to Mt Seymour cold weather gear, headlamp, dinner (snacks) boots, ski's not required

Notes:
Please let us know in the notes section how many passengers you could take in your car. If MEC Vancouver is out of your way we will re-group at the downstairs cafeteria on Mt Seymour @ 6:45.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

Cost Includes:participants who do not have Transceivers, Probes 7 shovels are expected to rent them. We have arranged with MEC (Broadway) to get a 50% group discount on gear rental and will meet at the store @ 5 pm to pick up gear & arrange rides.
