Summer Glacier Travel & Crevasse Rescue:

This two-day crevasse rescue and glacier travel course is designed to give you the skills youíll need to get into the alpine this summer.

Whether itís the Tantalus range, Bugaboos, Wapta or some other amazing but glaciated area you will have the tools and knowledge to deal safely and efficiently with any glacier travel.

Should things go wrong or you run into a problem you will have the gear and skills to solve it yourself.

This course will deliver all the information that you need from the basics to some more advanced topics at a pace that works for each student. Some prior knowledge and experience working with ropes is definitely an asset but not at all required.

Course Summary:

Leaders: Monte Johnson, Todd Powell, Rob Janousek, Rob Szpak, Anna Milino

Costs: $260 ($195 for ACC Vancouver Member) Request for payment by Visa or e-transfer will be sent to you after signing up.

Prerequisites: None

Included: 2 days of instruction, required group gear

Excluded: Gear rentals, food, transportation

Location: Squamish & Brandywine

Dates & Availability: July 11 & 12, 2020 (6 spots available)

Note: Because of COVID-19 there will be some additional requirements including wearing face masks when you cannot physically distance, etc. It is also recommended that you sign-up for this course with a friend that is within your social circle.

Note: No refunds. A participant needing to drop out will have the ability to draw upon approved people from a waiting list should it exist. Exchange of Payment to take place directly between the two people. No credit to carrying forward is permitted.
