To celebrate the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Donald Grant archivist/historian for the Hollyburn Heritage Society, created a film, "Heroes of the Harnessed Hickory", that tells the story of Hollyburn Mountain's ski jumpers and ski racers who were active during the 1920's, '30's, '40's and '50's. Many of these individuals competed at the provincial, national, and international level. The influence of Scandinavian immigrants on Vancouver's first generation of competitive skiers is also explored in the film. "Heroes of the Harnessed Hickory" is 50 minutes in length and includes vintage movie clips from the 1930's and '40's, historic photos, and video taken on the mountain during the past five years. A script of the Heroes film (along with some photos) is displayed on the HHS website under "Mtn Sports"
