AST1 prior to joining.

avy gear: beacon, shovel, probe
spare batteries for beacon
touring equipment: ski/splitboard, etc.
basically, everything you would bring with you on a day of touring.
definitely clothes, food and water for a full day outside. there will be
times you will be just standing around to come prepared to brave
the elements. course will run in 'not ideal' weather conditions.

definitely beginner friendly. But you should already have your AST1.
No exceptions, as we will be venturing out into the
backcountry/slack country, even though we'll be on safe ground.
