Let's enjoy the Sunday sunshine with a day hike to Mt Windsor. Nothing technical, but this will be a long day with about 11 hours hiking, 20km and 1650m elevation gain. There is mild scrambling up the final steep approach to the summit, which will likely have snow, you may want to bring microspikes and definitely good gloves.

We'll be heading out from Vancouver by 7am Sunday morning, parking at Porteau Cove (unless some handy person signs up with 4WD), then up the usual way to Deeks Lake and then up to Mt Windsor. Return the same way. We will be sure to be at least back on the logging road by sunset (4:45pm) but ensure you have fresh batteries for your headlamp in case we need it for the final stretch.

Please sign up only if you are 100% committed, and are willing to hike as a group. Pace will be the faster side of moderate.
