Vancouver ACC & BCMC – Sorcerer Lodge 2019 Backcountry Skiing Week March 3 to 10, 2018 An exceptional opportunity to visit one of the great backcountry lodges of British Columbia. Sorcerer Lodge is located near Roger’s Pass, deep in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains. Accessed is via helicopter from a staging area near Golden, BC. Sorcerer Lodge is legendary for incredible deep powder skiing! The alpine ski touring options include numerous objectives on the massive Nordic Glacier, Perfect Pass, Mini-Matterhorn, Iconoclast Mountain, Escargot Peak.. There are also options for excellent tree skiing on stormy days. The trip capacity is 14 guests. The lodge is comfortable and ideally situated on a moraine with easy access to tree skiing and the alpine. The lodge also is equipped with a fantastic wood fired sauna. The terrain here is big. To ensure you get the best possible experience and safety, the trip is guided by ACMG certified professional guides. The guides are friendly and happy to share their knowledge of ski touring, terrain, and snowpack conditions. There will also be 1 lodge custodian present to ensure smooth lodge operation. To keep costs down for ACC & BCMC members, the trip is self-catered. The group will be responsible for organizing all group meals for the trip. This includes food for the 2 guides and 1 lodge custodian. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of cold storage.
