Itinerary:
Mount Shasta (PASSPORT REQUIRED for Border crossing).
Mountaineering / Ski's / Snowshoes

Day 1.....Alpine start (5 am) Drive to town of Shasta California (3,600 ft) 1085 km / 12:00 hours. Overnight in motel
....or proceed to Bunny Flats (no reservation required).

Day 2.....Proceed to Bunny Flats Trailhead (41.35379 N, 122.23327 W) 6,950 ft
REQUIRED
a)...Climbing Permit (US $20) - self issue at trail head)
b)...Wilderness Pass - self issue at trail head
c).....WAG BAG. Free WAG BAGS are provided at Trailhead

Ascend to Helen Lake 10,443 ft. (tent or bivi site)

Day 3.....As conditions permit (Alpine Start 2 am).
Ascend Avalanche Gulch passing Heart on right then up to Red Banks & Misery Hill on to summit
. Descend to town of Shasta.

Day 4..... Drive home.

Required Items to Bring:
avi kit, Overnight kit, meals for day & a half. DON'T BRING ANY FRESH FRUIT ACROSS THE CANADIAN OR CALIFORNIA BORDER WITH YOU. iF YOU NEED IT BUY IT IN CALIFORNIA.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Headlamp, warm ski gear, extra pair of gloves, light crampons, light ice axe and Tent, or bivi gear, stove cook kit

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $550.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.25, effective Monday, July 16, 2018). This is based on the current provincial government rate for private vehicle use.  Please pay your share of the cost to the carpool driver.
