- Risk categories. Risk taking, risk avoiding,
- Rig and analyse hauling system "Double
Belay fundamentals: taking in/paying out rope -
Clipping into belay station
Belay voice commands
Belay anchors and SRENE principle
systems: off-harness (ABC)/redirect/off- anchor
When things go wrong: locking belay device,
belay escape, belay re-enter

Standard base alpine gear set.
Climbing rope of your choice.

Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Used and retired 8mm climbing rope (or else)
- Ideally will train on one of the Squamish
crags, but if the weather is not so good, will
move indoors, location to be determined.
- This is not a course - you must have minimum
alpine experience and prior formal training.
- Be sure to check SPAM folder for important
messages regarding this event.
Must have climbed
at least one Alpine Select route.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

no-shows in the past 12 months can't attend
