Will practice Alpine Walk technique.

Summit Elevation: 1,530 m 
Elevation Gain: 1,500 m

  • Snowshoes 
  • Microspikes 
  • Avalanche beacon, snowshovel , probe
  • Cell phone (charged 100%) 
  • Headlamp

  • Helmet (to protect from snow falling from the trees) 
  • PLB 
  • GPS loaded with area map 
  • 2-way radio

Notes:

We don't hike in these condtions:

  • forecasted P.O.P. (weat her.gc.ca) exceeds 30%
  • avalanche danger at tree line is not "low"

These are beyond trip organizer's control - short notice cancellations are quite possible and do occur.

Prerequsites

  • previously hiked similar elevation gains and distances
  • posession of all required equipment and knowledge how to use them
