Avalanche Skills Practice: Companion Rescue

We will meet at the far side of the parking lot at Mount Seymour and hike up to a flat area near Brockton Point where we can practice companion rescue.

1. Single Burial Scenario
2. Multiple Burial Scenario
3. Multiple Burial in close proximity scenario
4. Discussion regarding first responder care for avalanche victim

Note: Preference for registration will be given to those who are Waitlisted for the Nov 15th session.

Required Items to Bring:
Warm Clothing, Hiking Boots (snowshoes optional), Avalanche Transceiver, Shovel, Probe, Notebook
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Water, Food

This is not a substitute for your AST1/2 or Companion Rescue Course taught by a CAA Member.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
