On Saturday, hike up Ruble Creek trail to Taylor Meadows and set up camp. Go and visit Garibaldi Lake.

On Sunday, wake up early and climb the Black Tusk, and then head over to Panorama Ridge before descending to camp, packing up and returning to the car. Sunday will probably be about 10 hours.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Water, Snack food
  • Sunglasses, Hat, Sunscreen
  • Rain jacket, Warm jacket
  • Gloves, Socks
  • Headlamp, Spare batteries
  • Pack
  • Toilet paper
  • Footwear (shoes, boots)
  • Tent/shelter
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Stove/fuel/pot/spoons/dinner
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Navigation aids (map/compass, gps, etc)
  • First aid
  • Helmet (the Black Tusk has a lot of friable rock)
  • Booties/flip-flops for lounging around camp

A good amount of fitness is required for this trip.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

Cost & Payment:
Member Cost:$10.00/Person
Non-Member Cost:$10.00/Person
Cost Includes:Camping Fee. Each individual is responsible for paying their own fee ahead of time. You can do so on the Garibaldi Park website. Make sure you have proof of permit when you arrive at the carpool on Saturday morning.
Make a Payment:Although there is a cost for this event, you do not pay through the ACC VA. Please review the event details carefully for information about how/where to make your payment.
