The objective is NE Arete route. This is a classic and one of my favorites. This trip is open to recent graduates of the Basic Mountaineering course and anyone else with basic mountaineering experience who would like to take a step further. Please be advised that this is a step up from Matier in terms of level of difficulty. Itinerary: Leave Vancouver on Saturday AM, hike a long slog and camp above lake on glacier in the afternoon. Alpine start/early summit attempt on Sunday. Return to Camp, pack up, hike out. Arrive back in Vancouver Sunday evening.
