Itinerary:
Meeting time will be 7am at Shell Station @ 8th avenue and McBride - New Westminster Departure time: 7:30am Carpool - TBD We will leave from Shell Gas Station @ 7:30AM- MCDonalds is just across the street and we can drop by and grab some take out breakfast. We are taking Hwy 1 along Mcbride BLVD and will take HWY 3 from Hope and that will lead us to Manning Park. Trip will be around 2 hrs give or take. Upon arriving in Manning park parking lot [lightning lake]we are going to secure our backpacks, we will have a quick meeting and start hiking. Trail is 22.5km and about 8-10hrs roundtrip. We are going to summit and camp at the top of MT Frosty. We can pitch 2-3 tents up in there with the hope that those spots is not already taken by time we reach the top.[ Its a first come first serve basis] I prefer going tent less at the top and just sleep under the stars with a sleeping bag and pad, as it doesn't require too much space. We will have lunch in the meadows around 12noon-ish and will push to the summit after. There will be no access of water once we start scrambling from the base of Frosty. So please bring enough for your self and fill your bottles and bladders as we reach the designated camp ground before we continue hiking We will set up our spot at the top, rest/take a nap and soak in a 360 deg. of awesome views. Watch the sunset and star gazing at night after dinner . BYO-Beer! Sunday we will watch the sunrise and have Breakfast and start packing our stuff and will descend around 8:30ish. We will have few water breaks/snack breaks. Back to the parking lot and back to the city.

Required Items to Bring:
Overnight gear [tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat] Food [lunches X2, dinner, breakfast & snacks] Hiking gear[hiking boots, water proof layers, thermal layers, etc.] Chocolate for your trip leader!

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $100.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.25, effective Tuesday, May 23, 2017). This is based on the current provincial government rate for private vehicle use.  Please pay your share of the cost to the carpool driver.
