Itinerary:
All participants are expected to have AST1 equivalent or better, prior touring experience, good fitness for a full day of touring, the ability to ski black runs under any conditions. I expect that there will be a solid rain crust from Wednesday so be prepared for some difficult skinning through the trees.

Participants will be screened. If we have not skied together recently, or at all, please send an email to me describing your experience.

Caspar is 20km round trip with over 1300m of elevation. I do not expect to set any speed records but I expect everyone to be able to sustain a moderate pace throughout the day with only short breaks.

The trip may be cancelled or relocated if conditions are not favourable. Conditions will be reassessed on Friday and Saturday.

Required Items to Bring:
Avi gear, touring gear, good attitude, food, water, headlamp.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Dark chocolate for the leader.

An ice axe may be handy for the final approach to the summit (described as 'often windswept and rocky').
