Lizzie creek cabin is somewhat rustic with room for 6-8 people. It does have a wood burning stove, but it has problems with air flow as the chimney is in disrepair. Additionally, the cabin is not well insulated (it's a log cabin) so you should be prepared for it to be colder than Phelix hut for comparison. It is highly recommended to bring a winter sleeping bag!

Required Items to Bring:
  • Transceiver
  • Shovel+Probe
  • Overnight gear
  • Skis or splitboard
  • Donation for the hut

The head of Lizzie Cr drains an extensive alpine area of lakes, meadows and gentle peaks. A rustic log cabin at treeline offers a good base for exploring surrounding terrain. There are 5 summits in easy range of the cabin, several less than 700m climb.
