Spearhead Traverse - Exploring The Coast Mountains On Skis, John Baldwin, Third Edition, Page 79

Sat April 2 Traverse & Ski to Vicinity of Proposed McBeth Hut site.

Sun April 3 Traverse & Ski out via Whistler or Singing Pass arriving at Whistler Village in late afternoon.

Participants must be very fit, advanced level skiers and able to handle a demanding pace (about 20 k per day) for this 2 day trip.

Due to the nature of the area this trip will be postponed if avalanche and weather conditions do not look reasonable. Participants will be pre- screened based on their prior trips with the club and trip organizers.

Required Items to Bring:
Avi gear, glacier travel/crevasse rescue gear, overnight gear, cooking gear, tent. Shared gear will be organized prior to the trip.

Maps, compass, GPS, cellphone, ski crampons

The organizers have not done the trip in full before. BEFORE signing up for the trip, interested participants must make themselves knowledgeable of the route and what is involved. Route finding will be crucial for the success of the trip and all participants are expected to contribute.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
