Non-member guests must contact the leader (see Notes below) to register. If payment is required for this event, you will be expected to send your payment to the Event Leader - payable to the Alpine Club of Canada, Vancouver Section.

Who's Invited: Members Only, 18 & Older Only
Attendee Screening: Attendees are Pre-Screened - Trip Leader will review your background and may contact you before accepting you on the trip.

Meet at Backcomb Base 2 ticket booth around 8:00am
Get backcountry lift tickets for those who need
Ride backcomb gondola and lifts to access the blackcomb backcountry.
Plan A: Skin to Decker, Ski decker. Skin up to the East Col, then traverse to a nice low angle slope on spearhead glacier, ski down that , then skin up to the entrance of Husume. Ski down and meet up with the ski runs on backcomb, ski the groomer back to whistler village.
Plan B: Take peak to peak gondola, harmony to symphony to skin up flute to access some oboe tree skiing(if white out) or steeps in flute bowl. (If there is visibility).

Required Items to Bring:
Avi gear, skis, skins, poles, etc

Glacier Gear: harness, 120cm sling, 2 prussiks, 3 lockers, belay device, pulley(optional)
Recommended Items to Bring:

2 litres of drink, lunch, snacks, helmet, extra mitts, extra warm layers.

- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
