Attendee Screening: Attendees are Pre-Screened - Trip Leader will review your background and may contact you before accepting you on the trip.

spearhead This will be the standard Spearhead traverse over three days (weather cooperating) from Blackcomb to Whistler. If the weather cooperates, I would like to attempt some of the steeper runs in the area during the trip (double blacks). Due to the nature of the area this trip will be postponed if avalanche and weather conditions do not look reasonable. Participants will be pre-screened based on their prior trips with the club and myself. I will finalize the trip participants near the end of January. I am willing to expand the group size if another leader is interested in joining and expanding the size. Please message me if interested. Participants are expected to have glacier travel training and at least the equivalent training of AST-1

Required Items to Bring:
Shared items: tent(s), stoves, fuel, cooking supplies, food, rope, first aid kit(s) Personal Items: skis or splitboard, skins, beacon, probe, shovel, glacier travel gear, sleeping bag, pad, clothes, headlamp, food, compass
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
ski crampons, sunglasses, camera, gps etc.

Note: I have not done the trip in full before. BEFORE signing up for the trip, interested participants must make themselves knowledgeable of the route and what is involved. Route finding will be crucial for the success of the trip and all participants are expected to contribute.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.
