This trip will begin on Aug.15,2015. Take the ferry in the morning from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo. Drive to Pt. Hardy spend night in Motel. August 16 take Water Taxi from Pt. Hardy to Shushartie Bay at the eastern trail head for the North Coast Trail on Vancouver Island at 8.00am. Hike, backpacking with 6 nights wilderness camping Aug.16-21.Pick up shuttle bus at San Joseph Bay on Aug.22 at 4.00pm.

Required Items to Bring:
please check the list for camping and backpacking. Tent, stove, water filter?, first aide kit, back pack,tent,sleeping bag. mattress,food, etc. to be arranged depending on the number of people.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
map, compass, GPS if available. Adequate clothing for good and bad weather. Water proof items, good hiking boots, gaiters.

The dates are fixed now. You must be experienced with hiking, backpacking and camping.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

Cost Includes:Shared transportation divide costs individually. Note the recommendations. Ferry to V.I and return. Cost for camping is $10 night per person ($60)each Over night at Pt. Hardy and possibly Campbell River on return in hotels. Water taxi is at least $90 depending on numbers, tides and weather. Shuttle bus service is $75 per person. shuttle quotes plus tax.
