This will be a beginner friendly long weekend ski trip to Brian Waddington Hut in the Phelix Creek area of Pemberton. (Family Day in BC is Monday Feb 9th ). We can divide the group based on skill level

This trip is open to snowshoes as well if you want to just come and explore the area or if you want to climb a peak or two. I may just increase the trip size depending on cars.

Brian Waddington hut is located at 1715 Meters above sea level so fingers crossed that there will be decent snow. From What I hear the heating system is not the greatest so we will watch the weather and suggest to pack a very warm sleeping bag if it will get very cold at night.

The plan is to leave Vancouver early Saturday morning and come back by Monday early in the evening. Id like to plan some shared meals to liven up the dinners.

We can plan as a group to change the location depending on how the weather looks at a closer date.

Costs : The hut has a fee of $10 per night plus passengers are expected to mileage costs of the cars. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or if you have suggestions you think I should know.

Avi transponder, shovel, probe, rest of ski gear, food for the weekend, sleeping bag, mat

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $100.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.25, effective Saturday, October 19, 2019). This is based on the current provincial government rate for private vehicle use.  Please pay your share of the cost to the carpool driver.
