The forecast for Sat is for unstable weather and periods of snow following in the wake of Friday's frontal system. Avi forecast is Considerable. Thurs + Fri should bring quite a bit of new snow (30 cm?) to the Duffey, less than on the coast. Based on the expected conditions the plan is to ski Joffre Shoulder from the Cayoosh parking lot. Baldwin recommends this as "an enjoyable outing in mid-winter when the avalanche hazard is high enough to keep skiers of large open slopes". Plan B would be to ski the lower slopes of Mount Chief Pascal.
