Early season pow day in Whistler backcountry. Meet at 8am in Whistler Village to purchase Backcountry Pass (around 50.00 dollars), up Whistler Mountain via WB lifts as high as we can depending on what's open. Skin up Flute and beyond with the objective being Cowboy Ridge (weather and avalanche conditions permitting). Back the same way and ski down resort runs since Singing Pass may not have enough snow coverage. Prepare for long day, back in the Village hopefully before dark.

Required Items to Bring:
avalanche beacon, probe and shovel (non-plastic) skis or splitboard, skins extra food, water, extra clothing, head lamp (just in case...)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive or carpool to Whistler, park in open parking lot (number 1,2,3 for a fee, lots 5 to 8 are free). Meet at the base of Blackcomb Gondola in the main Village.
