Itinerary:
A super awesome Ski touring extended weekend in the Rockies. Staying at Bow Hut and skiing surrounding glaciers and peaks. Leave very early Friday morning to allow enough time to drive, get to trail head and arrive at Bow Hut in 1 day(8- 9hr drive/3-5hr tour). Stay at Bow Hut Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, and ski out Monday Am and arrive back home in evening. This event will require glacier travel, route finding, peak bagging and super awesome good times.

Required Items to Bring:
Appropriate alpine clothing, Touring skis(lite recom.), skins, transciever, probe, shovel, Ice axe,harness, caribeners (3 lock, 3 non lock), long and short prussiks, webbing, anything else u deem necessary for glacier travel, back-pack, headlamp, hut clothes, down jacket, sleeping bag, food, water for travel to hut, evening/peak liquidcohols(if wanted), tp/lighter. Group gear: 1 to 2 ropes depending on final booked # of people ***stoves,cookwear and sleeping pads not necessary, hut provided.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $400.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.25, effective Wednesday, November 14, 2018). This is based on the current provincial government rate for private vehicle use.  Please pay your share of the cost to the carpool driver.

Notes:
***Participants must have crevasse rescue practice, touring experience, and avalanche rescue skills. Commitment of 1 day before trip on a weekend, t.b.d., to practice with group at Seymour for crevasse rescue systems on snow. not instruction, just sharing knowledge. Group size limited to hut booking availability. ...Educate yourself on area with maps, guidebooks and websites
- Registration is not complete until you've signed up and, if required, paid in full to the Alpine Club of Canada Vancouver Section, either through PayPal, or sent to the Event Leader.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in ACC VA events.

Cost Includes:$25 a night for hut 3 nights, and $9.80 a day for back-country wilderness passes 3 days.
