Eagle Ridge Bluffs....From Nelson Creek to Black Mountain & Cabin Lake then down to Cypress Bowl

A moderate (Bill says moderately arduous)day's hike for those who aren't ready to have their ski bases scratched this weekend.
Plan is to do a linear hike from Nelson Creek to Cypress Bowl
Which means we'll need to leave a couple of cars at Cypress Bowl to ferry participants back to our starting point
Unless some folks in the group feel like doing the hike in reverse from Cypress Bowl to Nelson Creek Bridge
Most of the trail is well defined and straightforward but there are a couple of scrambly bits (hands on the rock) near the Eagle Ridge Bluffs themselves
We estimate it will take between 4 - 5 hours to get from the cars at Nelson creek to the cars parked at Cypress Bowl....

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Hiking Poles
Snacks, liquids
Yak Trax or micro spikes...just in case

How to Get There:
Event Directions: Meet @ St David's Parking Lot @ Taylor Way & Upper Levels Highway for 8:30 am departure
Ferry & leave a couple of pick up vehicles at Cypress Bowl....
Unless some folks are interested in doing the Hike from Cypress Bowl down to the Nelson Creek Bridge parking lot
To get to the Trailhead
Directions Take Upper Levels Highway to exit #4 and go west on Westport Drive, north of then under the highway. There is a large area to park on a service road off Westport Drive just below the highway (parking for 20 cars). Walk under the highway on the gated service road and up the Nelson Canyon Trail (Trans Canada Trail), then over the Whyte Lake Trail. Then back on to Eagle Bluffs Trail to Black Mtn, Cabin Lake & Cypress Base.
